Ingredients
- ½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, softened
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 large egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1¼ cups all-purpose flour
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- Your favorite jam (strawberry, raspberry, apricot, etc.)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Cream Butter & Sugar
In a bowl, beat butter and powdered sugar until light and creamy.
- Add Egg & Vanilla
Mix in egg yolk and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Add Dry Ingredients
Gradually add flour and salt. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Shape Cookies
Roll dough into small balls and place on the baking tray.
Press your thumb gently in the center of each cookie.
- Add Jam
Fill each indentation with about ½ teaspoon jam.
- Bake
Bake for 12–15 minutes, until edges are lightly golden.
- Cool & Enjoy
Let cookies cool on the tray for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Tips
- Don’t overfill with jam — it may spill while baking.
- Chill dough 10 minutes if too soft.
- Dust with powdered sugar after cooling for a bakery look ✨
