This easy slow cooker pasta is rich, cheesy, and incredibly comforting. Angel hair pasta cooks in a creamy tomato sauce and is finished with melted mozzarella and Parmesan for a delicious family dinner with minimal effort.
Ingredients
- 12 oz dry angel hair pasta
- 4 cups marinara or pasta sauce
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided
- Cooking spray or oil, for greasing
Instructions
1. Prepare the Slow Cooker
Lightly grease the inside of a 5- to 6-quart slow cooker with cooking spray or a thin coating of oil.
2. Make the Sauce
In a large bowl or measuring pitcher, whisk together the marinara sauce and heavy cream until smooth and fully combined.
3. Layer the Ingredients
Pour about 1 cup of the sauce mixture into the bottom of the slow cooker.
Break the angel hair pasta into halves or thirds and arrange one-third of it over the sauce.
Sprinkle with:
- 1/3 cup mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese
Repeat the layers two more times, ending with the remaining sauce on top.
4. Cook
Cover and cook on LOW for 1½ to 2 hours.
Check after 90 minutes, gently stirring once if needed. The pasta should be tender and coated in a creamy sauce.
5. Add the Remaining Cheese
Sprinkle the remaining:
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
over the top.
Cover and cook for an additional 10–15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
6. Rest and Serve
Turn off the slow cooker and let the pasta rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Serve warm with extra Parmesan if desired.
